pics of semi-legal tint job?

Here in CA you must have 70% light transmission through the front windows. You can tint the rear as dark as you want. Does anyone have any pix of a legal CA tint job? I'm wondering how dorky it looks...

That true you cant any tint in front windows not even 70%, around the oc that the least of worry.

Plus it look kindly funny with limo tint in back and nothing in the front, you need the tint to flow.

yea thats correct, no tint is legal on the front windows. 50% tint is really light. i used to have 30% on my front windows on my recent car, and it looked awsome.

lol "not completely legal" means it's illegal.

if you wanna tint the front just know that you can get pulled over for it and ticketed. usually you will not get written up for tint unless you do something else like speed. Then you can get pulled over for speeding and the officer might ticket you for the tint along with speeding. but that is not guaranteed, a cop can still pull you over for just the tint. so tinting the front windows should be done at your own risk.

Why does it on this site: California Window Tint Law - TintCenter.com that 70% is legal for the front windows?

i don't know, but you can check out the chp website here CHP-Frequently Asked Questions of the Highway Patrol what it says on the chp website and the site you linked seem to contradict one another.

is there a reference number or anything like that? you can look up what acutal laws are, the site he posted jives with what my states laws are...maybe the cops in Cali are just uptight and put it on the website to fool people.

It also says that medical reasons do not exempt you from laws. That is untrue... this website is not reliable.

It is not legal to have any tint on your front window, unless it is colorless (for uv protection)

It is zero tint on the front windows but ... it is common for cops to not notice the tint until its 70% or more.

If you are running 5% like me then any tint on the front will look dark due to the dark rear windows
