1 Yr. Old + 73,244 Miles

Here is the latest update on my 2015 Fit. (See previous updates)

Purchased the car 7-16-14 new from Jay Honda
Cleveland.

Just about to fill the tank and Odometer is 73,244. (See Avatar)

Total fillups = 301
Total cost = $4,976
Average mpg = 39.33.

This is a delivery vehicle and 95% of all miles are at speeds avg. 70 mph on turnpikes, interstates, freeways, etc., etc.

No major mechanical problems so far. (Knocking on wood).

Major dislike: The radio controls. Horrible. What were they thinking ??

Angry

I too sympathize on these awful radio controls, I have noticed after the sun beats down on the screen for a while - the screen becomes ultra sensitive and I swear I don't even touch it and it responds.

This radio is a total nuisance to use while driving!

I also have problems talking in my iPhone 6+ using the bluetooth. No problem hearing, but some of my customers can barely hear me due to the road noise when exceeding speeds over 40 mph, which is almost always.

I use the Sirius app, Amazon Prime Music, etc., etc., and bluetooth it over to the speakers. Quality is OK, but the road noise is terrible.

BUT, I have to remind myself that this is a working vehicle, that is making a good amount of money by the terrific MPG and relilability.

I'm at 25,000 myself. Yeah, the radio controls are the worst... If it wasn't for the crappy infotainment system I would love every bit of this car.

Well the radio is stupid but I have no problem with it because I only use the steering wheel controls and mostly listen to the ipod. Volume and fast forward are the main buttons used and they are both on the steering wheel. easy peasy

Thank you for the update! I definitely enjoy these kind of postings and look forward to your next one as you rack up the miles.
It's good to hear that there are no major mechanical problems so far.
My major dislike is the comfort of the front seats, but everything else is good so far.

Impressive mileage, you must live in your Fit. I imagine if you are getting reimbursed for your mileage, you should have the car paid for by now.

It is paid for.

I get paid by the mile and I know exactly what my costs are per mile, which not only include fuel, insurances, tolls et., AND I also include $.xx towards the cash purchase the next vehicle I'll need to buy.

I usually trade my vehicles in every 250,000 miles or 2.5 yrs., which ever comes first.

I never finance my delivery vehicles. I hate monthly finance charges. (I'd rather keep the finance charges myself, rather then to give them to a large corporation)

Normally I try to purchase vehicles with about 20-25k miles and just coming off a lease. (Always from dealers). This 2015 FIT was the first new car I've bought in over 15 years of doing this job. (Couldn't resist this model.

That's insane mileage! That means you're hovering around 200 miles a day on average!

We all appreciate the updates, as you're a homegrown durability tester. It gives us all insights as to what may lay ahead and it's a relief to know that you haven't had anything mechanical break/crack/malfunction.

I still can't believe that mileage; the Fit I bought last October only has 3k miles so far. And you even have put more miles on your Fit in one year than I have on my 1988 Daihatsu (55k) or 1992 Ford Explorer (61k) over the decades. Crazy!

More reason I'm glad I got the LX. Touchscreen radios in cars are overrated. Solving a problem with a knob nobody has. Knobs are underrated!

Amen to that! Why fix what isn't broken? I love the radio in my LX and it's so user-friendly. Every professional review of the Fit has been of the EX and the single, most complaint is the radio. It's a win-win; pay less and avoid one of the car's biggest weaknesses
