Oh hail no

Big hail storm yesterday. The PBP FIT took a beating.
Will have to visit the insurance people Monday.

The FIT was parked next to our 03 Civic. The Civic is fine, no damage.
I guess the lightness of the FIT comes from thinner body panels?

I'm sorry to hear this. At home our Fit is under a carport but I live in dread of being caught out by hail.

Hopefully the fix will be smooth.

Yep

I have 2 small dings on mine - one on the right quarter panel and the other on the left. Small hailstorm came through a while back - pea sized. I think you're right - very light material used. Can't see them unless you're looking for them though. Good luck on your insurance claim.

Would a clear bra from 3M help with this at all?

Look for a 'pointless dent repair' guy. They do wonders very inexpensively. Also Google 'dry ice' dent repair - seriously.

Probably, but you'd have to "clear bra" the entire car.

Our old 2008 Fit was caught in hail once, along with our 2007 Odyssey. The damage was pretty consistent between the two, and as I recall, something just north of $2,500.00 each to fix (we have a $0 deductible on comprehensive and hail is classified as an act of God, so it is covered 100%).

Best Advice yet! I just had a dent removed from my 21014 Ridgeline right on the rear quarter on the fender where it is a sharp corner, dude removed it completely in about 30 minutes no visible damage now. The crease was about 2-1/2" Long. They can do magic. Cost me $175, said if I had any others he would do them while there. He came to my house at my convenience.
As long as the paint didn't chip they can usually fix it. He told me if I wasn't satisfied I didn't owe him anything.

Wow, that is really nice service you got. It's good to see their are still some companies out there that emphasize good customer service and know the importance of it.
