Radio display screen dimmed

Yesterday I noticed that the radio display on my 2007 Honda Fit Sport (Manual Transmission) has dimmed. No, I am not talking about the dimming capability on the dashboard.

For example, to show the time 8:32, some of the strokes were fully lit and some were very dim (am I explaining it well enough?) Let me know if you would like to see a photo of what I am talking about.

I had parked my car in the hot sun for the day, could that impact the display behavior of the radio panel?

Has anyone else seen anything like this? What can be done to fix this issue?

My 08 Standard Fit has been doing the same thing for about a year now.
Some segments on the numbers are bright enough to read during the day, others are very dim, and can not be seen during the day.
Even at night, some segments are noticeably brighter than others.

Mine does it too, especially after work when the interior is hot.

In addition to that, my clock is running too fast (it gains about 5 minutes per year).
I missing digital clock in my 87 Camry which outlasted the car
It is a natural anti-theft feature and time for class action law suit.

FWIW, I replaced my '08 Sport stock radio with an aftermarket indash navi shortly after purchase, so I have a stock radio with little use available in case anyone needs one!

Does it work fine later on, after the car has cooled down, or next day?

My '08 Sport does the same thing when it's very hot outside. Just started this summer; not a big deal so far, it goes back to normal once the interior cools down.

My '07 Sport has been doing the same thing probably since 2014. It's gotten so bad that the station and time daylight displays are unreadable. What are the possible replacements?

Has anyone worked out why this happens?
I've been looking at a 2012 that has this issue, the numbers/letters show fine in the middle but faded on either side - you can only just see the hour on the clock.
