Hello, I am currently looking for a White LX Automatic Fit 2015 or 2016. It looks like there's a pretty small selection out there right now and nothing is matching what I am looking for. I know they have stopped producing them for a bit and want to know if there are any updates on how long it will probably take before they start pumping them out again and/or how long it will probably take till the specific version I am looking for will be available to me. I live in St. Louis, MO if it helps at all. If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks

 

Some people on this sight have reported getting '16 Fits already, so apparently, they're out there somewhere. I have yet to see one around here, though.

From what I've seen, LX Fits seem to be in tight supply, while the availability of EX models seems to be better. I suspect this is because Honda is making relatively fewer LX models (lower profit margin), and the LX cars they DO make seem to get snapped up first by economy minded buyers.

Disclaimer: the above is entirely my own opinion based on very limited observation and reading of this forum, so it might be entirely conjecture.

 

i suggest you wait till minimum mid-september, better if nov/dec if you want to haggle.

i paid MSRP on my wife's 2016 EX CVT as this was the only 2015/2016 they had in the area in EX CVT trim, color other than red and black. it's demand driven. there were other families in line waiting to take my car if i had declined.

i worked out the price on the trade and dealer gave me some extras so i was fine with it and drove it home that day. only to find the driver side window didnt work. LOL then get hailed on the following day. LOL x2

 

It seems that Fits continue to trickle out of Mexico, and since we're into August they will be designated as 2016s. Supposedly there will be some supplemental production from Japan somewhere around October. Some folks are waiting until then to see if they can get a "J" VIN.

 

is that even a fact or just rumors about the 16's for USDM?

 

Honda announced that they would bring Japanese cars over in 2016 to make up for shortfall caused by HRV production in Mexico.

Of course, Honda has announced things they never did, so this probably brings the veracity up to the "strong rumor" level.

I can afford to wait, so why not?

the made in mexico one went in for warranty repair only 2 days after ownership. lol
