Auto unlock issue?
Auto unlock issue?
2015 EXL. When I grab the driver side door handle and pull only the front door unlocks, the rear remains locked.
On the passenger side when I pull the door handle both the front and rear doors unlock. This is the way I'd like to set up the driver side as well.
Any ideas how I canmake this happen? Is it a programming issue?
Thansk much!

Ain't gonna happen. They only way to unlock all four is to pull the passenger handle or use the keyfob. It's supposed to be a safety thing.
There's a thread on here about how to do it. I thought I found it in the manual but some folks here said I was looking in the wrong place. At any rate the procedure was akin to Rosemary Woods' erasing the Nixon tapes (or are you too young to remember that?).
wait, so you want all 4 to unlock when you pull the driver lever? that's how my wife's car came and we didn't like it for safety concerns. my wife and i reprogrammed it so only the driver door unlocks when the driver lever is pulled after engine is turned off.
Other way around. When unlocking the car to enter it, he wants the driver door handle to unlock all four doors not just the driver door.
It cannot be done. I believe I know the thread you reference, and a close look will show it's talking about unlocking from the inside, or maybe the pass door.

oh ok.. yah i dont know if there is a program for that.
You can change the programming on other new Honda's to do this, but not the Fit. My Solution is to open the passenger door or hatch to unlock all. I paid for the darn push button start and keyless entry, I am not taking that fob out of my pocket to drive the car!
Ugh, this "feature" is the worst! Of all the realizations I had after buying my Fit, this one has the biggest affect. Maybe there's a way to hack the logic? Who's got logic hacking skills?
Worst feature list:
1. Smart entry unlock only opens driver side (the WORST)
2. No sunglasses holder in ceiling (anybody know of another model that will have a sunglasses holder that will fit?)
3. USB doesn't play all MP3 players
4. Hondalink for Android is pointless
5. No homelink garage door mirror (degraded to the bottom when I stole the mirror out of my old Prius, 1 screw to change it out!)

Interior unlocking is customizable, exterior unlocking isn't. In the current Accords you can configure locking via the screen, but what's really irritating is that the previous generation Versa - press drivers door exterior button once to unlock drivers door, press again for remaining doors. Seems like an elegant solution to make everyone happy and no need to make it customizable.

First world problems, for sure.
