Helluva tough little car

While the wind did a minor crease on driver's door that insurance will not cover, the rear bumper took a pretty good lick due to MY idiot sense of direction.

My ex said that I would get lost in the tub if it were not so narrow. I was trying to find a place that I had been before several years before, but it was dark and I couldn't see familiar landmarks. I turned up a dead end and tried to back up but, like the caution says, things are closer than the screen shows. Whack into a telephone pole thick stump! Gritting teeth, continued the turn and on to destination.

When I got back home, I finally looked ... no visible damage, but it was still relatively dark in the parking lot. Next morning, broad bright open daylight. Still no damage! I've hit similar stationary objects with older, supposedly tougher cars and broke bumpers.

The rear interior liner of the hatchback may be paper Mache, but that rear bumper is worthy of Captain America's shield! https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/images/smilies/lock.gif
