Actually surprised.. The little Jellybean did way better than I thought it would..

I'm not a huge autocrosser.. but usually do it a couple times a year..

This was a major fast track.. fastest one I've been to with the St Louis SCCA... That hurt the Fit... on a tighter slower track, it would probably have been way faster... had the traction control off, but felt like stability control was still on..

It was stupidly predictable.. even being the first time I've autocrossed a front wheel drive car... there was two sweepers... was on the wood the whole time and was still taking with my son in the passenger seat...

Was a bit hard on the front tires... doubtful I'll autocross it again..

Been a long time since I've played with the GoPro.. but got one run in the Fit and a couple in my son's Mustang..

disabling the traction control button only turns it off in first gear in a straight line. if you attempt to toss the car back and forth, it turns back on. also, once you hit second gear, it turns back on altogether. more nannies designed to "save us from ourselves".

congrats on your first event. watch it, it can be a slippery slope... i have over a decade into national SCCA events, and i spent a metric ton of $ doing it.
