I have a 2015 fit ex and just switched over to iphone 6s. Before I spend the money on a lightning to HDMI doohickey, will I be able to see something like google maps or waze on the screen while driving? Will touch interactions work ?

 

lol no you wont be able to see anything on the screen at all, unless you are parked.
Worthless.

Even more so if you have an android phone, in which case the above doesn't even apply.

 

You can use Aha Radio and the Honda Nav App ($59.99). There's also some Honda Link stuff, but not much else. I thought this would allow the things you mention, but it won't. I bought the Adaptor and HDMI cable at Best Buy and saved a few bucks. Without this, and just using a regular USB to Lightning cable, you'll still get Pandora and full access to your iPhone music etc. You can also connect via BT, but having the cable means your phone stays charged. Whatever you do there's no need to buy this stuff from Honda.
