So my question is to dealers or people who know how this whole ordering from a factory works. I had to order a 2016 EX in PBP because I was set on the color and per the dealer there were none available in the whole country. That was exactly a month ago (I was told I would have to wait 90 days). Shouldn't the dealer have a VIN for me by now? Also, our local dealership in Brooklyn, NY as well as some random dealership in Florida, just added new inventory, including what looks like my car. But the VIN both of them have listed is not a VIN at all (the sequence starts with HF2016). How does it work? Why would these two dealerships have a car with fake VIN listed in their inventory?
