Grille install/removal? 2015+....

I was looking at removing the grille of my 2016 Fit, and came across a set of instructions that wanted you to remove the bumper first. Is this really necessary? The reason I'm trying to remove the grille is because I plan on putting 1080 Scotchprint over it so it will protect the plastic, and most of all look cool. I guess I could put the vinyl on the grille while its on the vehicle, but it will be more difficult.

Hmmm, I see. Well, thanks. I guess I'm going to be doing the thing on the vehicle.

It's not all that hard to pull the bumper. Takes 3 minutes once you know what you're doing.

Thanks Danny j7, I applied the 1080 vinyl with it attached already though.
It looks good although it made it a lot more difficult to put on, and could of looked better with it off. Usually I'd be up for it no problem. Oh well, I will see how this holds up for now. I also put some red H on it.
