Bought a used 2015 Fit EX and need a 2nd set of keys/remote. I called 3 local Honda dealers and they want $178, $240 and $255 before taxes. Is there another way? Just seems ridiculously expensive. I have seen these blanks being sold on ebay for $60 but not sure how reliable they will be even though they say they are genuine Honda parts. And even if I buy the part elsewhere, I would still need to program the thing (tho the cheapest programming at a dealer was $65 - sort of reasonable, I guess).

Any suggestions?

 

The fob has security software that needs to be coded to your car. Unfortunately only the dealer can do this, so you need to pay. There is no way around this.

 

I own a 2015 FIT and it came with 2 key fobs. Why did you receive only 1 set?
