Moving Experience With My FIT

Well, like JJ in the old sitcom, we moved up to a deluxe apartment this week.

Had a lot of stuff we wanted to move ourselves because of fragility.

The 2016 FIT kept saying "More" each time I loaded items into the enormous area created by lowering the magic seats.

It took a shockingly low number of loads to complete the job.

Really glad I traded my 2013 Corolla for the FIT this year.

We had a similar experience. Two wing back chairs one trip, a 9 drawer dresser another, plus tons of stuff we bought when we moved into our bigger apartment. Love!

I had a similar experience. The Fit kept asking for more stuff, and I kept wondering where it all went. In the end the Fit won, as I had no more stuff to feed it.

Tardis-like, which I love. Coming from a mid-size sedan it was a revelation.

Yeah it hauled all the college stuff, a real load. I was impressed.

When people ask me how I like the Fit, I always say, it's small on the outside, big on the inside.

Such a great design.

Unfortunately, I tried to move a love seat a couple of weeks ago, but it was too large for the Fit. I must admit I was too ambitious. 😆

I remember moving a sofa in a Corolla wagon many years ago. I ended up leaving the hatch open a bit and holding it down with rope around the roof rack and bumper. I know, not the best thing to do but it was only for a mile or so. I don't know how you could do that with a Fit. Apart from the rear shipping tie-down I don't know where else there's anywhere to tie anything to on a Fit.

Just after i bought my 6 MT in July 2015, our dryer, then our washer went out. Normally have appliances delivered, but each appliance slid easily in and out of the back with the seats down. I figure that saved fifty bucks each trip.

btw, hatch door shut easily on both trips. Surprised as hell.

Your yellow Fit reminded me of the official yellow VW I see at Ikea.

Only difference is with the Fit, that load would fit INSIDE the car.

Did you drive with the right lane camera turned-on to compensate for your lack of visibility?
