Just 7 more months left on my Fit lease!

And I think I'm going to switch to a new Civic, possibly a Civic coupe. Anyone own one? Although, after owning my Fit, I'm a little turned off on Honda products in general. Paint defect since since new, poorly wearing tires needing new ones at just 24K miles, easily dented roof side panels (when waxing the car), grinding noise on start up when cold, etc. My buddy is a warranty rep for Honda and he said the Civics are made better. Although, I will miss the cargo capacity of the Fit.

You should get a Chevy Cruze.

The 2017 Civic Hatch has only slightly less space than the Fit, and at a higher price. Hopefully in 7 months the bugs will be worked out.

Yeah, the new Civic hatch is pretty nice looking, and I prefer hatchbacks. Although, it does cost more than a Fit. It would depend upon what kind of lease deal I can get from Honda.

I was told by my dealership not to buy Civic because of high percent of stolen for parts. So I had two choices, Fit or Accord. Can't afford Accord.

It's often unwise to let a car dealer tell you what to buy.

Your dealership contact may be correct, but for very old Civics. New Civics, like the Fit (or vice versa) have auto immobilizers, making vehicle theft much less likely and much more difficult. That's not to say the thieves are not working on this deficit.

I'm sure you can afford a 1996 Honda Accord!

My 1998 Civic was stolen during daytime at my college. CHP found it and my insurance totaled it and give me a check. Many body parts, doors, hood, trunklid, lights etc....

Well, my getting another Fit is out of the question. Just the fact that I can lean on the roof pillar panels, and dent them while washing or waxing the car, is a huge turn off. In fact, I looked at a used 2015 & 2016 Fit this weekend as curiosity, and both also had dented roof pillar panels.

I have a feeling that you believe what you want to believe. Good enough justification with me. Good luck.

My Fit will hit 3 years old in June. It just crossed 22k miles...

I'm buying a Civic Hatch as soon as the Sport Touring is available. I'm just ready for a sportier car.

I just moved out to the suburbs and I now have a 40 mile round trip commute to work instead of a 3 mile commute from my old place. With that change, I just want a more capable interstate car. Not that the fit is lacking but I just want something more substantial. And the Civic should get equal or slightly better gas mileage than the Fit.

I also want adaptive cruise because the traffic on my way home sucks balls half the time.

Mine too, and just hit 18k. I wouldn't replace it for the world. Best of luck in your new location.
