It is really interesting to read some of the negative comments on the 10th gen Civic. Full disclosure, I have not driven a 3rd gen Fit. However, I have owned a 1st gen Fit and a 9th Gen Civic Si. My 10th gen Civic is light years ahead of the 9th Civic in terms of NVH and overall quality and performance. My 2.0 LX coupe is a better driver than my Si was despite the 40hp deficit and lack of LSD. I can't imagine the 3rd gen Fit is anywhere near as fun or as refined as the new Civic. I'm definitely intrigued now to go drive a Fit if many here feel they are that good. I am certainly excited for what Honda has in store for the next gen Fit. The future most likely will involve the use of a turbo engine, probably 1.2L with 130-140hp and gobs more torque than current. The next Fit will hold a lot of tuning potential. Not to mention the competition, Toyota, is upping the anti with a 200hp Yaris GRMN. All the more reason for a Fit "Si".
My sole complaint about the new Civic is that it's just too damn BIG. Every generation of the Civic has gained size and weight over its predecessor. The current Civic is nearly as big as the Accord, and that's too big a car for me. Not enough room inside for how big the car is outside. That's one place where the Fit has absolutely spoiled me.
