Three months in after purchasing, noticed that I can see the inside of my engine bay through a gap on my hood. Not sure if it's normal or not. Wondering what the FF community thinks. Thanks in advanced!
Looks similar to mine....Normal??? ... dunno ... I never really noticed until your post made me go down to the garage and check at 4 a.m. ...LOL. It's a lot less noticeable on mine, I believe, due to my Fit being black. Is the driver's side looking the same?
Got me going out to the car to checked too. The caliper showed 5 mm or about .196 inch gap max. Yours look normal +/-. You could use a set of feeler gauges to check as well.

honestly dere is so much parting line issues on dese mexican fits, i decided not to look at it closely.
funny how my GTI is also mexcian, yet i think its better built dan their german VW's..
The width of the gap is in the design. You cannot reduce the gap by assembling it with better quality control because if the gap is reduced on one side of the hood, the gap on the other side would be further apart. The width of the gap has to do with the capability of the assembly tolerance using the robot/man/machine/tools. If you want to make the gap smaller, you would need a better tool to align the hood during assembly or using a human spending time to wiggle the hood back and forth to get a better fit. Not all Fits are assembled in Mexico. My LX is assembled in Suzuka, Japan. Same gap!

haha damn didn't mean to scare anyone. Thank y'all for checking it out too tho. Feel relieved its not just me. I think I can live with it, but just freaked me out when I saw it. Maybe once its time to change oil I'll ask them about it. I'm already over 5k miles on my fit. Appreciate everyone who responded!

i was referring to the GK's overall parting lines (of the whole car), just not just da hood to fender parting line.
ur suzuka LX was assembled by foreign migrants dat came to japan. made in japan is not wat it use to be.
