2015 LX liftgate manual?

Does anybody know if all the 2015 LX liftgate's were manually operated?

Does anybody own a LX model with an electronic handle (2 soft push buttons underneath)?

Thank you

As best as I can tell (just looked at the manual), no US 2015 Fit model has what you describe. I'll be willing to bet no 2016 or 2017 has it. Good idea though, as would a toe operated release (ala Ford).

Maybe a good idea for a talented DIY, more mechanical like the gas lid and the hood.

Such an easy and light weight hatch door that complicating it with electronics would be overkill and another electrical item failure point. Not needed in my opinion.

I agree - not needed for a small hatch like this one. It's the kind of thing you would expect to find in a full sized SUV with a large heavy hatch. As for the Fit there are many other things which it needs and very little money available for them because of the tight financial margin on this car.

I believe that I wasn't clear about what would be a good idea for a Fit hatch. Cable operated like the hood and gas door. Electronic/complex mechanical ... naw. Now I know that the hatch has an electronic component that unlocks the doors. As far as I know, the Ford foot release is cable operated but maybe a simple magnetic/cable device.

Your right, I misread this thread by reading too quickly what was being asked and thought a power lift gate was requested somewhere. My bad...
