2015 EX Aftermarket Touchscreen?
2015 EX Aftermarket Touchscreen?
Hey all. I'm thinking down the line I'd really like to have Carplay in my car, which means replacing the headunit. Anyone done this? I'm curious what I would lose, specifically:
- Would my steering wheel controls still work for volume, answering calls, etc?
- Would lanewatch/backup camera still work, assuming the replacement head unit supported backup cameras?
- I have confirmed that the USB inputs would stop working, but would they still have power to charge connected devices?
- What would it LOOK like? Anyone done this and willing to share photos?
I still can't believe carmakers don't update the software in these things regularly. It's so short sighted of them.

If you search the ICE threads you will see that someone was succesful with a double din pioneer HU and retaining the lane watch and backup cameras, though the angle adjustment is not available. They are still useful but screen aspect ratio is way off you cannot judge distance correctly.
