Hi fellow Honda enthusiast.
my stock ride of GK rims does not flush well to the body so deciding to change new rims and tyre. Need some Bros to advise.
stock sized weight about 18lbs?
6j-16 et53, 4x100, 185/55/R16

• Wheel Front: 16x6J4H PCD100 OFF53

Diameter101.75x2+406.4 = 609.9mm

I'm looking at a Enkei rim.
Enkei J10: 16/7 ET42
205/50/R16 =611.4mm

will this new J10 work well with stock absorber? Just to be sure not to bottom out and fender scratch.

 

I'm also looking at the Tanabe medalion touring exhaust. Any Bro have experience on the performance of this muffler exhaust?

 

i had the medalion axleback on my GE and it sounded alright.

as for making your car look good, you'll want to lower your ride to go with the wheels you posted. check out Swift springs

 

My wife has it on her Fit. We like it but it's a quiets exhaust. It sounds like a honda motorcycle on start up and when you accelerate from standstill. Between 2000 to 3500 rpm, you won't notice that much difference but then the exhaust note changes over that speed. I wish the motorcycle sound can be heard throughout the rev range but I suppose that's the trade off to make this more highway friendly.

The one impressive thing about this exhaust is that it hides the thrashy engine noise extremely well to the point you don't hear it anymore. That alone makes the Tanabe worthwhile IMHO.

 

There are videos with sound of my former '15 with Tanabe Medallion Touring in my mod thread (link in sig). I also did wheels and springs, which may be helpful as you research.

^^^ This^^^ I put that Tanabe on my '15 not long after I bought it CPO a year ago, and I love it. It's not loud, but it sounds really good, and does just what mizike described above. The factory muffler was so quiet, all you could hear was the thrashing of the engine. The Medallion Touring gives the whole ride a pleasant tone. And I've taken it on a couple of 1000 mile round trip road trips, and it's not annoying, even at 80 mph, as there's enough road and wind noise to blend in Not a cheap muffler, by any means, but would never go back to stock. Sounds nice.....can't comment on wheels, still running stock wheels/tires, here

 

The question is always the HKS or Tanable? HKS is about $100 less expensive.

 

I went HKS because of the price difference. I liked the dual tip look of the Tanabe but to me wasn't worth the extra cost. No complaints with the HKS and if buy it again.
