2017 Honda Fit Temperature Control Dial Problem

We just purchased a 2017 Honda Fit LX. Yesterday I was adjusting the temperature control dial and it didn't want to dial back to the coldest setting. Has anyone else had this issue? I did find a YouTube video of someone with the same problem.

I have not encountered that problem. I have a 2017 LX CVT. Later FITs are made in Mexico, mine (Nov) is made in Japan.

Dont force it!! The cable ***could*** just need an adjustment. It can be accessed by removing the glovebox and un-pinching the mount bracket to adjust it properly. If you are game to do it yourself its not too difficult. Dealer should fix out of principle. Ill grab a pic of what i mean in an hour.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I dropped it off this morning at the dealership and they said they had to order a part. URG! They gave me a rental and said it would be done Wednesday. I'll keep you posted

I told them this scenario:

If you go to Rack Room shoes and you buy a new pair of shoes and after 3 days the soul falls off the shoes do you take it back to the store to get the soul fixed and them give you another pair of shoes to get you buy until they are fixed, OR do you get a new pair of shoes? I want a new pair of shoes.

They kept the car Monday and Tuesday. Said they ordered the part and never installed the damn part. I wasn't about to wait a few more days while they tinkered with it.

I told them I bought a NEW car and I wasn't leaving without a NEW car.

I worked 10 years in retail putting up with customers. I know how to be the customer that gets what they want

cool, maybe you can talk to amazon to grant price guarantee for minimum 7days after one makes a purchase allowing the buyer to get store credit if they find the same item for sale at amazon for less. amazon can be a stupid brick sometimes.

back to topic, hope u enjoy ur newer Fit.

Amazon.uk has a full refund service. Doesn't even cost to send back. EU/UK Consumer law. Distance selling.

yes amazon offers free return in the usa as well, but then one would have to pack ship back and reorder while wasting time and while amazon wastes more money on freight.

most major stores offer price guarantee

Just got a new 2018 Fit EX Manual and has the same exact issue!!! Can't turn the temperature control dial towards the cold all the way... it goes about 1/3 of the way there and drifts back. So frustrating on a new car!

Also if you drop the glove box, you may be able to peer back behind the environmental cluster to see if something is hitting. Just open the box and squeeze the sides and it'll fully drop. You can then kind of give it a tug and it'll come off the hinge.
