Final decision, Sport or LX?

After much deliberation, I've decided to get a 2018 Fit with manual transmission. Last choice to make is the trim level and I've narrowed it down to LX or Sport.

Pros/Cons for the LX:
+ Physical knobs and buttons
- No alloy wheels
- No Apple Carplay

Pros/Cons for the Sport:
+ Infotainment/stereo
+ Leather wrapped steering wheel/shifter
- I like the look of the side skirts, but worry about how they will age. Clips can/will break off and they start sagging. Also more maintenance to ensure salt doesn't get trapped under them.

Would appreciate the forum's input as well. Thanks!

Does the sport come with Honda Lane watch? If it does that is another big + for the sport. I wouldn't worry about the side skirts pretty sure they won't fall off. ;-)

The bigger screen and better phone connectivity are a big plus in my opinion, plus I like the unique look.

The Sport was a no brainier for me. If you have an Android or Apple smartphone and a data plan you'll have navigation and other apps. Plus the Sport isn't that much more. I had a 17 year old Civic with side skirts and had zero issues in that time and 291K and it was driven all year round.

I usually drive cars that are more performance oriented. One of my issues with my 2017 Fit. For me the choice would be easy, the SPORT

Do you like the stock alloys, or would you replace them with aftermarket wheels? Have you taken a long enough test drive in both to see if the touchscreen would make you want to drive the car off a bridge? My answers to both those questions put me happily in an LX.

If you like the wheels and the touchscreen, then go for it.

Consider any future upgrade plans too.

The OEM leather wrapped steering wheel was still too thin for my tastes, so I over wrapped that.

Do you want a bigger screen?

I don't miss the lack of a volume button. I installed an equalizer with a volume knob but prefer using the buttons on the steering wheel.
