For Civic Fans

Yes, this is a Fit forum, but I many of us have owned Civics. This short video traces the Civic from origin to now.

Yes, and the Accord has also grown. The Civic grew to about the size of the original Accord.

Yup a lot of vehicles have grown. I grew up in a Toyota family. We had a Camry growing up and it was smaller than the modern Corolla lol. My Dad had the Toyota Pickup before it turned into the Tacoma, and it is minuscule compared to the modern Tacoma.

It's bigger. My first car was an '87 Civic. That thing was tiny. The 2017 Accord I had as a loaner recently was huge. It's become a full size car.

What is funny is that this is untrue in Japan. They have microcars that are even smaller than the Fit. I have seen people in Japan buy cars, return home, only to find out the car does not fit in their garage. They regret it. North Americans like the "larger is better" idea.

it’s not that. Airlines are continually refitting their planes to squeeze in a few more seats, so they can make more money.

I parked my Fit next to another car yesterday, and it was rather large. Looking over, I saw that it was a new Mini. That name no longer applies. : )
