A little late to the party but 205/50R16s are an accessory tire size for the GE Fit so outer diameter wise, you should be fine. Width you MIGHT see some light rubbing at full lock but I'm doubting it. Just a smidgen less inner clearance by about 10mm or so depending on the tire.

^^ Fixed that for ya. I've had nothing but bad luck with those tires when driving vehicles equipped with them.

Just replaced the factory GK firestones at 47k could have made in maybe 5-7500 more miles if it wasn't winter in New England as they definitely had lessened snow performance. Replaced with Firestone Ziex ZE950s 205/50r16 and added a 1" spacer in the rear. Car noticeable rides smoother and also wonders less on the highway at 75+mph. definitely a good move and no where close to rubbing anything.

I replaced my tires with the same size Ziex ZE950s at about 54,000 miles. Last winter the stocks performed horribly in the snow. While our first snow of the season here in CT wasn't anything crazy, these new tires performed lightyears better.
