Anyone with experience with the raybestos replacement rotors from Rock Auto care to share their thoughts? My wife's 2015 Fit EX shimmies like crazy under braking so I figured I would go ahead and replace the rotors since they are cheap and probably pads while I'm in there. I haven't had to replace rotors before and with all the horror stories of improperly heat treated rotors from China and Mexico I'm not sure what to expect.

 

Centric are quality rotors. Not sure how they compare in cost?

 

I like Centrix rotors. Have used them on several of my cars. Here in the Road Salt Belt, the painted hubs and cooling vanes reduce the effects of corrosion.

Centrix rotors are about 60% of the cost of OEM.



That said, when shopping at RA (or any other place), don't buy the cheapest. Unless you have specific needs (IE you Autocross or track your Fit) then don't bother with the most expensive, either. Look for the heart symbol on RA to see the most popular purchases. A mid-level Raybestos would probably work OK since they are a Name Brand.

 

 

Centric rotors are good quality. Don't try to do a cheap brake job. Yes try & save money, but not at the expense of performance / safety. By all means replace the pads when you do the rotors.
