205's would have been great on 7" rims but didn't want to go that far from the original diameter . the 195's were just under the original ,
but the 205 50's would be a little too small . definitely didn't want to go taller than stock with the 205 55's . the 195's on the wider rims
have a lot grip

195 vs. 205

I'm planning on getting 195/55/16's.

Wouldn't 205's have rubbing issues?

Does gutting out all the interior count as a mod? 😆

‘Im running 205 55/16 on 16x7; what ever the recommended offset is, on stock suspension. It only rubs on the passenger front ; that tire sticks out more than the other by like 5mm probably due to previous accident, when I hit a drop on the highway at high speed on the way to work. Other than that, no issues.

Now that I think about it, I could use a fender roll on that side to avoid that completely when I get coilovers, more mods to come I guess.

What performance chip do you have?

Does the Tanabe bar go near the strut towers in the front? Does it really make a difference as it doesn't seem to really connect to the strut towers like typical setups?

I didn't like how the AEM is situated near the firewall. Seems it would get hot air there. Instead I went with a ram air intake with a K&n drop in. Seems to work pretty well.

Since it's my daily commuter, I'm not doing anything crazy with it. If like to do new discs and pads when the stock units wear out. Also minor drop springs with new struts.
i've got the AEM filter , and the medallian exhast in my '19 LX . the shocks and struts are stock but i have a sway bar in the rear along with upper and lower chassis braces , front and rear .
the braces do an amazing thing for the ride and handling , definitely worth it , i can live without lowering the car . the tanabe upper brace does work even without directly connecting the
shock towers . if you take look under the windshield you'll see that sheet metal goes across , connecting the shock towers . the tanabe bar stiffens this expanse even further . i felt
the difference as soon as i took it for a drive , even at low speeds . the steering is really hooked up .the rims are 15" / 7" , 40 deg. offset , along with 195/55 tires , works great .
