Will it "Fit" - Koni 1125-1029

LM Performance has this kit (currently out of stock). Does it fit the GK5? Thanks in advance.

After I exhausted the internet, turns out the OE struts on the 9-13 are 2 inches shorter than the GK's. I checked out the newly released KYB and Gabriel parts and although the mounting brackets are the same, the length is different compared with the GE struts; but GE struts will work on GK fits:

Others have installed the Koni 8750 1102L/R & 8050 1131 on the GK and report good improvements over OE.

I just did some emailing with Koni and they say if a strut kit is installed on a model year not listed in the koni catalog, then there's no warranty coverage. Of course, if you get a defective unit out of the box, that's a different story [imo] but at the end of the day ... the choice is yours.

CommanderSlug,

Is this to me that if those of us with a GE8 installed the GK struts on our GE8, we'd get slightly more travel if used with a taller spring?

I am guessing that should be the case if GK struts mounted on GE. Notice the 2 inch difference in extended/compressed lenghts. Travel stroke difference is less than 1 inch.

I found some specs for the following:

KYB 338002 (09-13 fit)
Extended Length (in) 18.97
Compressed Length (in) 11.92
Stroke Length (in) 7.05
Dust Cover Included No
Rebound Stop Yes
Compressed Bump Stop No
Upper Mount Type 12x1.25

Gabriel G52152 Ultra Struts (GK fit)
Shock Extended Length: 21.77 in. 552.96 mm.
Shock Collapsed Length: 13.93 in. 353.82 mm.
Length of Stroke: 7.84 in 199.14 mm.
Accessory Kits: n/a
Upper Mount Code: n/a
Lower Mount Code: n/a
Weight 8.16 lbs. 3.7 kg.
