There is also a microphone in between the switches.

Depending on your audio system there are also microphones on the front of your stereo.

Noise cancellation, I believe. Accords also have microphone in the rear of the cabin.

yah, its a beam forming mic. limits the area the mic picks up audio.

the rear accord mic is used for active noise cancellation.

It is Honda's way of spying on you. Have you located the hidden camera yet?

It's how the system picks up the driver's voice so clearly. If you RTFM, it says that attempting to give the system voice commands from the passenger seat won't work well. That is because these multiple mics are tuned to pick up sound coming only from right in front of the drivers headrest(roughly), to give the best quality voice pickup and background noise cancellation

yah, that is called beam forming mic. not so much noise cancellation on this mic, mostly noise isolation.

but the quality of the fit's mics are pretty bad. dont ask how i know these things.

It might pick up my voice but the voice recognition is SO horrible, I have had zero luck telling the car which number to dial, and have my phone just 'ok google' it instead.

Ive had a problem with the mic in my 2018 Fit Sport. After playing around with settings in the car and phone I can’t get it to work well. The Bluetooth connection in the fit is very seamless, which I love. I get in and start the car and it connects and plays my music/podcasts very clearly. Great sounding factory stereo Imo. The problem is calls. People say it sounds like I got th windows down going 80 or I’m yelling at the mic across a street in a hailstorm. How can the Bluetooth connection play the music wirelessly off my phone but transmit my voice so badly? I thought it was the mics fault until I used the usb cable for Apple CarPlay and my voice was crystal clear. Now the mic in the car is still being used on calls not the one on the phone when using CarPlay. So something about the Bluetooth signal, not the quality of the mic that Honda uses, makes your voice from inside the fit on phone calls sound crappy.
