Warning Lights

My son's 2015 Fit has a few warning lights coming on every so often. I swapped out the snow tires the other day, and I can't turn off the the TPMS light. Traction control and a couple of others are also lit.

We've had four Hondas now, but if these two were our first, they would be our last. It took Honda eighteen months to fix my side view camera, we've had three recalls, my son's rear view camera is shot, and his car refused to start for half an hour last week. I'm going to start looking at the Prius.

I see your frustration, but I don't know why it happens to one but not others. There is the cliche that the grass is greener on the other side, often not because we see only the positives and not the negatives. If you don't sense a mechanical problem, maybe it is a software issue that can be resolved by a dealer reset?

I have the OBD II thing, so I can reset the lights. They are really just for emissions-related things. The car is running well and getting good mileage. If I bring it to the dealer, it will cost several hundred dollars, and he won't find and repair the problem. If the lights are still coming on when it's time for the annual inspection, I'll just do a reset.

It's too bad we don 't have honest, competent dealers.
