So I recently picked up one of these:

Megan Racing Lower Arm Bar (MRS-HA-1291)
Lower Arm Bar for Honda Fit 2015+

Install seemed straight forward, I imagined it would go down something like this:

Well .... it didnt go so smooth. When I line up the front of the brace (narrow end) against the sub frame, it looks like this:

(lines up good, but no where to stick bolts through)

(And the rear end/wider end does not line up as the hardrace bar does)

(another shot slightly from further away)

FWIW .... I was able to install their Front Lower Control Arms with success ....

UPDATE:

I provided my VIN plate on the drivers side door jamb. It would appear some early production 2015s have a subframe that does not fit the bar. Megan was very nice about the returns process, and I will be getting a refund soon. I'm a little sad

Very interesting about the subframes. Sucks you ca't use the bar and I'm sure swapping subframes isn't worth it. What are you impressions about the other bar?

so this is an issue only for 2015? all other years should be ok?

thad, other bar is nice, and the install was quick and painless. cant go wrong for $40 ish bucks. its not as much of a game changer as a front sway .... but again, for under $50 bucks tho.... I recommend it!

from what I was told ryu, later 2015s and up, are fine. I'm hoping someone 2016, 2017, and 2018 will buy a bar, and post pictures for us all to see.

I did find a back up plan .... this Ultra Racing bar appears to mount without needing to touch the sub frame .... I'm 99% sure this will work.... I'm just not sure if I'm ready to pay 2x more ... as most of you all know, I'm cheap =)

blue line drawn, illustrates where the megan/hard race bar would have installed
