Stuck ventilation knob, 2016 Fit

Hi, new friends. My wife's 16 Fit has a the ventilation dial stuck/can't go past the icon of the man with airflow at head and feet. There's resistance/spring like push back when we try for icon with arrow at head only. Thanks for any help or guidance with a fix.

I wonder if this is the other thread. It's for a GD and not a GK, but design may be similar:

Still under warranty?
I wouldn't try to force it.

Easy cop out answer, but I'd just seek help...hopefullly under warranty.
If you are past warranty I suppose you could look at various degrees of disassembly and diagnosis.
But if you don't have to do that? I wouldn't venture.

Is this still all mechanical? In the GEs you can remove the glovebox, no tools needed, and see all the levers behind the dash move with the controls - easy to see what is happening.

Don't force it nothing good will happen

yes take the glovebox out and on the left side you will see the three manual actuator cables for the outside vent, hot/cold temp damper, and the louver control for all the various vent output selections. All should be moving freely. I'm working in that area of my 2017 car today, reinstalling my stereo system. I can take video and pictures of the components in action if you want.
