Ok so for awhile now this has been a problem but i really havent needed the use of it but now its getting on my nerves. The vent selector knob to select high/high-floor/floor/floor-defrost/defrost doesnt turn all the way over to defrost, it feels like there is something there thats not allowing it to turn that far. It worked fine for the first few months but then all of a sudden it wont go.

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem cuz i havent seen anything on it in the forum yet.

btw...the problem is similar to an issue my friend had with his 06 lancer...the gear on the lancer gets dirty or gummed up from the gear lube used for the selector know gears and restricts movement but i havent seen any of the same reports of issues with the fit.

somebody have any ideas or a link to some info? This is gonna be really nessecary soon as its starting to cool off and when it gets cold ima need my defroster.

I had it hang up after replacing the head unit, remove the lower plate in front of the shifter and see if the wire/cable is catching on something. Mine was displaced a little and binding up.
