LED headlight bulb conversion kit?

Hey guys,

I've heard great things about these bulbs but am not sure what's the difference between changing out bulbs and those that change our the entire headlight hundreds more. What's the difference (I'm assuming just the bulbs isn't as good).

Also, I can't see to figure out whether these bulbs are compatible with the fit.

Thanks in advance.

They'll fit, but there's no glare shield.

If you must have LED headlamps, at least get ones that don’t blind oncoming traffic. Don’t use that one. Use the one I used.

These duplicate the filament location of the stock H4 bulb, preserve the sharp cutoff on low beam and work with the DRLs. They also have no fan to burn out and require no resistor pack for the Fit.

Thanks. Couple of questions. What did you mean by "If you must have LED headlamps". Is that a bad thing? And if so why did you opt for that choice?

Also have you found a signigficant difference between the OEM bulbs and those? I have the OEM fog lamps which I love but loathe the orange light, especially on country roads.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Appreciate it.

most people will advise you to go the retrofit route. the budget for that, of course.... does not suit everyone

if you dont mind blinding others, that amazon link looks sweet!

I watched a review that said you could angle the spread like typical low beams lights. I thought that would be enough not to "blind" anyone?

I put some LED bulbs in that didn't mimic the halogen bulb's filament location, and they gave a blob shaped light pattern with no defined upper cutoff. I cranked the adjustment way down, enough that it did not seem to blind anyone, but that means most of the light wasn't in a useful place to actually see down the road.

When one of them burned out I switched to the LED bulbs with the goofy fan shaped flexible heat sink, and they produced a pattern with a sharp upper cutoff. It was good enough that even though they produced less light overall, I could aim them like the stock bulbs. More of the light shining down the road means I can actually see better than the extremely bright blob allowed.
