The 2015 Fits were a brand new design built in a brand new Mexican factory with a brand new and completely inexperienced work force. What could go wrong? Well the relatively poor quality of the 2015 Fits speaks for itself. Not surprisingly though the issues that plagued the 2015s have pretty much completely disappeared since then and the most recent 2018 and 2019 models have been very solid cars. Negative comments about the Fit are still based on memories of the 2015/16 model era and don't give credit to what the Fit has become. It is a great little car now and I would not hesitate to reccommend it to anyone.

 

I'm still seeing newer fit owners complaining about water leaking into their cars, but that may be a design issue or poor assembly.

 

And you'd consider water leaking onto the floor on recent models a problem equivalent to the 2015 "fuel injectors need to be replqced" issue? If I was to categorize problems I'd put the "water on floor" issue in the least import problem category with things like "body panel out of alignment" and "distorted windshield". Label this category "Annoyances". Most new cars from all manufacturers have some of these.

 

I've never had a car that leaked, and our 2015 and 2019 Fits have remained dry inside during all sorts of weather.

 

Seems to happen on larger occurrences, or at least people are on here complaining about it. Plus, why hasn't it been fixed in 4-5 years of production? My 2015 has over 70k and other than Q/C issues it's been pretty good. Have had way more recalls than any car I've ever owned. I definitely have that sagging bumper problem. Don't know anything about distorted windshield, but I'll take your word for it.

It took 2 1/2 years to fix my LaneWatch camera (under warranty), and after spending $700, the Check Engine light was still on in my son's car.

 

I had the bumper recall done, and months later, I removed the bumper to install louder horns. Honda cars have the same kind of snap-in plastic clip system that they use on their motorcycles. When I removed the bumper, I saw that the dealer had broken off one tab when they did the recall, and I broke off the other one doing the removal/replacement.

 

We have 2015 Fit. I never noticed water leaking into Car. We have experienced lot of rain during last few years.

 

I got a 2015 late in 2014. Zero issues beyond the fitment that's common on them (IE bumper sag and dash panel).

 

We bought our '15 CPO a couple years back, 40000-ish miles on it at the time..... has been rock solid reliable....am wondering if the original owner might've had some/many/all of the problems folks have complained of, got them fixed, and unloaded the car......dunno. Front bumper fits "good enough for gov't work," no water leaks, windshield distortion I have no idea what that's about. I have had the "grind on cold startup" a handful of times over a couple of years, and there is the "stumble" at about 2200 rpm, but ….am thoroughly satisfied with our '15 LX, Jan '15 build iirc. Glad I could find a manual, as CVTs and I do not get along well...

 

Mine was built last week of 2014. I'm at 103K miles. Other than annoying electrical glitches (sporadic) I've not had any issues. I gave up on domestic cars in 2014. My wife's Toyota (only 40k on it) and my Honda made me glad for the switch!!! I bought a 2006 MX5 as a toy.. not so sure about that one!

 

My 2015 EX just underwent heavy rainfalls of just under 14 inches of rain, Normal for Feb. is right at 4.5 inches. No leaks. I drove an Si behind a tornado several years ago and there were MINOR leaks around the sunroof.

 

Have a 2015 LX Fit, that was built in early November of 2014, took delivery just before Thanksgiving 2014.
Since I'm now retired and no longer commute to work, my son now drives it, and he puts about 500 highway miles a week on it.
The car now has a bit over 86,000 miles on it, and other than the recalls, and the sagging front bumper issue (about a 1/4 inch gap at the top on both sides), it has been bullet proof.
Have had done all the recommended maintenance on it, including fluid exchanges; replaced the battery at 45 months (replaced it with a size 51), and replaced the factory tires at about 33,000 miles.
Other than that, no real issues; no water leaks, no electrical issues.
I'm real happy with it, and looking forward to a Fit Plug In Hybrid, if and when they ever become available in the US.

 

I've had zero problems with my 2015. None! And it was a blast to drive all the way up until I got rid of it in November 2017. 2015 LX CVT. I have raced it a LOT. Very consistent and was only get faster as it aged.

 

Neither of our 2015 Fits had a sagging bumper, but that's interesting. In my opinion, Honda slipped up there with the design. For so many jobs, you have to remove the front bumper. On my previous Civics, that was a simple job. Not so with the Fit. Honda chose to use snap tabs for many of the attachments. Not only are they difficult to remove and reattach, but they break easily. I wonder if that's why they have sagging bumpers - broken tabs.

I removed the bumper on my car to install louder horns. In doing so, I saw that the top left tab was broken off - probably when I had the bumper recall done. By the time I got it put back together, I had broken the other top tab. It's not sagging, though. If you want to work on the windshield washer tank or motor, you have to remove the bumper Stupid!

 

I hear ya on the rain, my friend, in Maryville, here ….. between the rain and the occasional earthquakes, I'm, like, WTH ???!!!??? Sun is out today, though....at least this a.m...….have had no leaks in our Jan '15 FIT LX

 

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I can't wait to get rid of this car. I might trade it straight-up for a Kia and a pack of gum.

 

Not everyone who owns a 2015 has problems with it. You mostly only hear from those who do. Folks who are happy don't post on here much. I will, my son's 2015 had been great so far. Fingers crossed.
