India: New Honda Brio

Looks like a Fit that's been squished. Bug-eye headlights remind me of 80's Hondas. 1.2L gas engine.

Interesting! iVTEC so no DI, which in my opinion is a good thing, 5 speed manual, and also neat that you can pick the upholstery style.

Same old boring Honda colors though (seriously, two kinds of white?). It begs for colors with more, um, brio. I'd love to see that in orange, yellow, purple, turquoise, teal, or even lime green!

I doubt very much that it would meet US standards. Probably not enough air bags to begin with. It would also probably fail a government or IIHS crash test - life is cheap in third world countries. And for a country like India forget about rust protection since you wouldn't need it with no salt to worry about. This is a car that has been designed to be sold cheap and with that in mind there's a lot of stuff that was never put into it..

I work in downtown Chicago and was scared to cross the street let alone drive a car while in India. Most people have scooters, but this fits the Indian market, parking is an issue for cars though.
