Does it rev to 9000? (Jk that sounds like a good way to detonate the engine).

 

No, But its time to put this car flying. No Turbos or Swaps.. i really got Exhaust system and HPS Air Intake..

 

Nice mod.... ive got mine and im waiting on the open OEM map upload it and dyno it!!!

 

I can't understand why This GK5 can't be Turbo with his Engine..

 

Oh, but it can. It just takes more work than I'm prepared to take on while still needing to drive it to work four days a week.

Well, a kit that lists itself as compatible with nearly 3000 different models isn't going to have anything ready to fit your car. It's basically a box of generic parts that you could use (with either a fair amount of skill fabricating or a lot of extra money to pay someone) to do what the guy did in the DIY turbo thread. If you buy that off ebay you will need to cut all the intercooler pipes to fit, have someone make you a downpipe with the right flange on it to mount the turbo, make a new exhaust midpipe, run oil lines, etc.

If you want to fab something up yourself, at least use a turbo from the Civic- that way you can mount it straight onto the cylinder head.

I have not seen anyone offer a GK specific turbo or supercharger kit.
