Key Fob Problems

I searched and could not find the exact problem I am having so here goes. Ive been using one of my key fobs but the button for unlocking got stuck on said key fob. So I went to the back up key fob but it isnt working properly in that the lock button unlocks instead? The unlock button does not do anything at all. Also when I press the lock button on the new key fob I notice that it will blink red once and then shortly after stay on red for about 10 seconds. I have tried reprogrammig the new key fob to no avail. Please help! 2015 Honda Fit LX.

did you have the 1st fob (broken one) in close proximity while you were testing the 2nd fob? try removing the battery out of the first fob and see if the 2nd fob works with the car. its possible you were sending mixed signals to the car and the car couldnt tell which command to follow.

id take the 1st fob completely apart and see if you can fix the stuck switch too.

I had taken the battery out of the old one and put it into the new one as I had just recently replaced the battery in the old one about 2 months ago. I tried to unstick the button on the old one but could not budge the button on the board. thank you for the quick response though.

Fix?

Did you ever find the solution to this problem? Someone that I know is having issues that sound similar to this post (especially the fob's red led staying lit).

I've been a victim of this problem and found on a FB group that the buttons on the board go bad and can be replaced... But by someone with soldering patience.... I removed both of my key fobs batteries since the red led stayed lit ...... I'm planning on making an appointment on a dealership to see if they confirm that's the problem and decide what I'll do... .
