Left rear Wheel Binding

Howdy

new member, i apologize in advance if i violated any new member post rules, before this i searched through 2 pages of threads and did not see any one mention this particular issue.

My wife owns a 2015 Fit with a six speed manual transmission, i believe it to be a 1.7L 4 cylinder (just a hunch haven't looked the thing over.)

today it failed inspection for front tire wear/ alignment

and the left rear wheel "binding" (this is the issue i am perplexed with)

the inspection person did not look into what was causing the issue, suggested it might be a shoe sticking or a rear brake drum problem

Has anyone else experienced this?

my wife has stated at times when backing up she feels as though the car is trying to roll over something when it is not.

i am going to pull the left rear wheel off and look at the brakes. I suspect the parking brake cable may need tightening/adjusting or that the wheel bearing could be bad.

I have never heard of anything like this before
any known problems or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

thanks
Josh
