0-16 Oil?

0-16 oils are coming on the market and being promoted as a good choice for GDI engines.
We all know that the Fit requires 0-20.
Would a switch to 0-16 be ok? Would it cause damage? Has anyone tried it?
So many questions. Your thoughts and ideas are wanted and appreciated.

Seems like emissions and fuel efficiency have taken priority over engine protection. Additive packages can make all the difference so maybe it’s okay. I wouldn’t switch unless Honda approves it to be used in older vehicles and even then I might not.

if I still had my gk5, I'd try it out for 2 OCI's at 7500 miles a piece and send results to BlackStone Labs for UOA

from there .... we could all know ... is it good/bad/ugly or is it the next best thing since sliced bread

Is there some benefit to the small change from 0W20 to0W16 that makes it worth considering?
