Car Won't Start

Hello,

My 2015 Honda Fit won't recognize the key or start. I changed the key fob battery, opened the car door manually and tried pressing the fob to the button but nothing happened. I tried the door lock/unlock button and nothing is working.

I am assuming it is the battery but wanted to be sure if possible. I had no previous warning that my battery was in trouble and used the car 2 days ago without incident.

2015 Car Won't Start

Drove the car 2 days ago and it was fine, no warning lights of any kind. Today car won't recognize the key fob. Changed the battery on the key fob still wouldn't work. Tried pressing the key fob to the button, did not work. Tried the auto door lock button and nothing. I am assuming it must be the battery but wanted to be sure before I get a new one. Has anyone else had this problem?

Has the battery been changed recently? Is it the original one?

Similar issue, my 09 Fit sport remote quit so I replaced the battery in the remote. Old one tested 3.05V new one 3.17V so I assumed the old one was OK. Tried my spare key and realized both keys would unlock the car but not lock the doors.
I'm looking for a solution.
