My mother needs help

Hi guys, so basically I’m dealing with an issue with my mom‘s abused Honda fit. She got absolutely manhandle a dealership and bought this 2019 Honda fit with over 150,000 miles a few months back at the start. The car was perfectly fine until we found a bunch of bullshit things that the dealer absolutely Could not do first the driver mirror visor is absolutely mangled and broken. Oh need to repair that later on the lights on the dash started popping up first for the key fob. I’m assuming it’s a battery issue, but I am clueless. It says keyless start system problem after that we realized for the beginning that the literal window wiper sprayers to shoot the water onto your windshield is missing as along the hose as well absolutely ridiculous and fuming when we found that out and now the biggest issue that all the lights on the dash is turning on everything apart from check engine light so it seems that all merging or tracking sensors is messed up as well. I do also have a brake system light And I have no clue how to diagnose or how to somewhat fix this issue without going to a

mechanic or Honda dealer which I do not want to do if any information can you please help me out so I can stop calling my mother‘s Honda fit a piece of shit and just call it another fit

Tell her to take it back to the dealer and make them fix it under warranty or lemon law or something. Absolutely do no pay them anything.

Call Honda corporate and tell them your experience is really wrecking your impression of the brand.

The longer you wait, the less you'll get back from them.

I doubt the sun visor is strictly a matter of abuse. Our 2020 EX driver's visor won't snap up all the way unless you swing and extend it out to take advantage of the opening for the sunroof. They're defective, but there would need to be a pattern of (tall people) injuries to get a recall. Last I checked, new replacement visors were something absurd like $400+ from Honda. I suspect the pricing is more or less a punitive measure to drive away buyers. IIRC, they're legally required to have parts available for a certain period of time after a new car is sold. If they run out of something, they'll have to do another production run ($$$) to stay in compliance. When inventory runs low, they jack the price up to a point that nobody will pay. That way nobody buys the last of the stock, and they never actually "run out".

Did all these problems appear a year ago when you first got the car, or recently after you have had the car for close to a year?

If it is the former, bobski is right that you needed to go back to the seller immediately.

If it is the latter, unless the seller offered some sort of extreme warranty (vs the more typical 60- or 90-day warranty for a typical used car), you're out of luck unless the seller is feeling extremely charitable.
