Since the CVT can't burn oil the check is easy. Look under the car. If there is no oil there then you can safely assume that it is all still in the transmission.

How do you drain the 2015 LX CVT transmission? What is the quantity of replacement Honda HCF-2 fluid?

It takes 3.6 qts of Honda HCF-2 - not cheap stuff, around $11/Qt. Lots of places sell it for less, but you pay a lot for shipping. The best I've found online is from Amazon with free Prime shipping. They have 12 quarts for $99. Since we have two Fits, I'll need eight quarts, so the dozen quarts would be the way to go. At least we don't have to replace an expensive ATF filter.

The drain plug is the last thing on the driver's side, bottom of the transmission. It looks like you'd use a 3/8" drive and insert that into the square opening in the plug. The filler must be on the top. I'll be sure to locate the filler before I drain the fluid. I'm not surprised that there's no dipstick. A lot of cars come without an oil dipstick. This saves the manufacturer's money and keeps a bit of dirt out of the engine.

Do you have to have a hand pump to raise the HCF-2 into the CVT?

Is it exactly 3.6 Quarts or is it specified by Honda in liters?

I'll be in sales-taxless Oregon in a few weeks so I will start shopping dealers online for the best price.

Specs say 3.6 Qts, but that's the capacity, not the refill amount, which is usually less. I guess we'll have to wait for someone to change it. I just wish Honda had a time/mileage recommendation for maintenance items. I also wish they had a service manual available.
