Audio system and new iPhone

Hi everyone,

I ave a 2015 Fit. Love it! But...

I just got a new iPhone, XR. I can't get it to pair with the system. When I first got it 2 weeks ago, it paired. Now, no. Any insights? Is the firmware for the system user upgradable?

MANY thank for any help!

Jenn

Have you tried the usual first steps? Unpair phone from headunit, unpaid headunit from phone. Restarting the phone.

Is the phone's profile deleted from the Fit?

Hi and thanks,

This phone never had a profile, I believe. I just bought the phone. It worked for a short time, then quit. I've deleted my old phone from the system.

Did you try to reset the car radio and did you do a hard reset on the phone?

Hi and thanks,
I did a hard reset on the phone. I'm trying to figure out how to do a reset on the car nav/audio system.

I had a thought one all of this. Yesterday, my iPad wouldn't pair either. The iOS on both the phone and pad updated recently. I wonder if that's part of the problem.

Sounds like it could be iOS related then. Can you go back to the old iOS? You might have to wait for a patch update if it related to the update and causes problems for a lot of people. Apple customer service is very helpful, though for car related connecting they might blame the car or not be of much help. They are worth a shot though.

I know when iOS updated to 12.4, I had to reset my phone again to get the headunit to "see" my iPhone through Carplay.

Do you have access to another phone or device to try pairing with your headunit?

Many thanks, everyone. It’s working now! I did a return to factor settings, in essence starting over again, and that took care of it.

Again, thanks to all!
