iPhone/USB not working with audio controls in 2011fs
Good morning,
Weird issue with my 2011 Sport yesterday. Usually when I connect my iPhone via the USB cable I can play/pause/skip tracks with the audio controls. For some reason during a road trip this weekend, I couldn't and had to control the music through the phone (annoying). The audio interface let me scan the iPhone for songs and playlists (everything was showing up fine) but I couldn't play any of them. Any fixes for this?

Try the same procedures with a different iPhone to make sure it is the car and not something that changed on the phone. I say this because the car audio system is "locked down" and either works or doesn't. The iPhone has an infinitely adjustable system and something could have gotten "adjusted" by accident causing you to lose that interactive control between the car & phone.
A fix for the iPhone (enabling something) or a new USB cable would be a lot cheaper than a new car audio system.
