So a while back I attempted to upgrade my 2018 Sports audio components such as amp and speakers but utilizing the factory head unit. I gained some knowledge here from various members on how to utilize the factory headunit but reworking to the factory harness to include an aftermarket amp and speakers like many of us GK owners. I was stopped when I realized (after reading Fiberpunks success on his own 2016 custom harness he had created) that the 2018s used completely different harness plugs. Metra had yet to make them (being the 2018s were still new). Fast forward to today, Metra has finally updated their site and it shows that the 2018s actually used the 70-1731 and 71-1731 harness adapters (which were actually used on the 2016+ Civics).

So here I am trying to get this project started again.

Has anyone with the 2018 and up utilized these harnesses in their own audio project? I really just need to isolate the factory speaker wires to route to the speaker level inputs on the amp, but without cutting the factory harness.
