USB Port Troubles

Lately the USB port(s) in my car seem not to respond to my iphone being plugged in. At first it was intermittent so I changed the cable. I'm using the white Apple 1.5 meter cable. I'm thinking perhaps a reset of the radio may help me. When I select iPod as the source, it plays audio from my iphone, I assume over BT. The phone doesn't show that it's connected to a power source, and the USB icon is not showing on the display of the HU. Any thoughts?

Have you tried restarting the iPhone? I usually have to do that after every update (I reset it once a week at any rate).

I thought of doing that, but having both ports cause no response from the iPhone (in terms of being plugged into power) made me think twice. In the end another cable change seems to have resolved my issue.

I'd get a better cable. I was having a hard time connecting and a guy at a stereo shop was adamant that it was my cable. I tried a thicker better made on from Best Buy and it worked perfectly. Best The Buy is expensive and a little long, so I ordered some 4ft cables off Amazon w/ black and orange braided sheath to match my interior. They look and perform great.

Could you post a link to the Amazon cables. I bought some thick braided cables there and experienced some minor, but recurring, issues after a while.
