2016 Fit EX speaker upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the speakers on a Fit?
The passenger side speaker on my car seems to be making a slight "buzzing" sound with more bass.
As a result, instead of having my Honda warranty replace it with another so/so quality new speaker, I'm considering upgrading all 4 (or 6 since there's dash speakers too) to something similar to stock with the front component and rear full range speaker. I also would like to avoid adding an external amplifier as the stock system gives out 160w (according to Honda).

Anyone done this ?

thanks in advance

I recently upgraded my speakers and added a sub. Components in the front, 2-ways in the rear, 8" sub in the back. What questions you got?

Perfect!
What brand and model did you choose for the speakers and sub?
Are you running an amp? If so, is it for the components and the sub? or just the sub?

thanks in advance!

I got:
FRONT - ($75) Rockford Fosgate Prime 6-1/2" components. No amp. The tweeter connects to the mid, so I just mounted the tweeter at the top front of the door card and disconnected the stock tweeters.
REAR - ($45) Rockford Fosgate Prime 6-3/4" 2-way speakers. No amp.
SUB - I tapped the rear speakers to an AudioControl LC2i LOC ($100) in order to restore the bass. The stock system rolls off the bass after 100Hz and the LC2i had bass restoration circuitry to compensate. From there, I have those line-outs connected to a Rockford Fosgate PS-8 powered (built-in amp) subwoofer ($270). It's an 8" 150W-RMS sub with a range down to 25Hz. It is plenty powerful for the Fit's cabin. It also has quick disconnects for the power and signal so I can remove it from the rear with minimal fuss.

I bought everything but the sub from Crutchfield, so adaptors came with everything. Got the sub on Amazon because it was out of stock at Crutchfield with a 3-4 week lead time at the time.

That;s an impressive setup
thanks for the info. I'll have to start my own collection of parts as soon as I finish upgrading the seats to something more comfortable

Did you end up using components or 3 ways for the fronts?
Also, how did you like the change in sound? Worth it or???

I went with the components, Rockford Fosgate R1675-S.

Considering it was free, yes totally worth it. Fit really lacks bass so even just the sub would have totally changed things.

Agreed. Upgrading the door speakers helped with some clarity and volume, but the sub made the biggest difference in filling out the sound.

I have an entire thread dedicated to my audio setup. Even includes the newer refresh head unit wiring 2018+ for those that have.

So I want to add a Sound Ordnance B-8PTD to my 2016 Ex with the factory radio in it still. I have the 7" touch screen and my question is does the back of the radio have RCA inputs or do I have to get some sort of wiring harness or adaptor? Here is the link to the sub and any help will be greatly appreciated. I am a 1st time Honda Fit owner.

No, there's no RCA's on the back of the factory radio, regardless of the model you have.
You may be able to get away with speaker level inputs or some sort of adaptor, but you'll have to do your research.
