New Android Phone Bizarre Behavior
New Android Phone Bizarre Behavior
My best IT buddy can't figure this one out . . . maybe someone here can.
2015 Fit LX, totally stock everything. Since new, I used my Samsung Galaxy S5 to play music through the factory audio system without issue. After pairing, all I needed to do was start the car, turn on the audio system, and music began playing. Didn't need to touch the phone or anything else.
Recently had to replace the phone with a new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. All my music is on the new phone. Paired it with the Fit's system and it worked properly. For just a bit.
Now I start the car in the garage, turn the audio system on, and it indicates that the phone is connected. The artist, album, and song are displayed. But no music, nothing. Look at the phone and it indicates that it is playing (but to where? It is not connected to anything in the house or anywhere else at this point.) Changing between "pause" and "play" on the phone has no effect whatever.
It becomes more strange. So I drive to the grocery store, 6.4 miles away, without any music since it won't work. Do my shopping, come out, start the car, turn on the audio system, and it plays music. Perfectly. Every time.
Note that it isn't mere proximity to my house that matters. If I turn on the audio system at, say, a mile away during my initial drive, there is no music.
I've done the usual stuff, like deleting all paired devices (only a couple) on the phone and starting over.
Ideas?
