DIY sub enclosure

I posted this in the 'what did you do to your GK' thread, but figured it would be good to have here for the sake of organization. Homemade fiberglass box for the side of the trunk, with a 6.75" Kicker installed. Sound is better than I would expect from such a small sub, but it's not as loud or deep as a larger unit. Of course, a larger one would eat up more space than I want to lose. Powered by an Alpine 200w amp under the driver's seat.





After taking the photo I put a pair of small brackets on the bottom edge of the box to secure it, the floor is 1/2" plywood. The speaker being low in the box is on purpose, to minimize the stress on the brackets.

Nice. Someone else posted a pic of their wife's ride with a similar setup on the other side complete with felt covering.
