Little amp install help.

Will you be upgrading all 4 speakers? or just the fronts? Nonetheless you'll have to find an amp that matches the impedance of these speakers, namely, 2 ohms, and one that doesn't exceed the RMS rating of the speakers, which is 75 watts.

So you will want an amp that does 2x75 watts RMS or 4x75 watts @ 2 ohms.

I want to change the four speakers....tweeters later on. I would get the infinity reference, but reviews said that it's better off spending extra $20 bucks for these

that would run 90 watts RMS x 4 @ 2 ohms. you'll have to turn the gains down a bit so you don't risk blowing the speakers

ah man, i was under the assumption you were changing out head units. well u will need to look for an amp that can handle speaker line in. you will have to tap into one the speaker lines and hook that to the amp. i don't believe the stock HU has an rca out to go to your amp.

2015 Honda Fit Amp Install Help

So I got my amp all wiring up, and oh of course there's a problem. The head unit display won't pop up whatsoever....

I have 8 connections plugged in the back. Possibly missing one. Highlighted is the missing one. Where the hell did it go? Could have sworn there were freaking 9 plugs. I want to get this done tonight.....I worked on this all day. It's night and I can't even find it with a flashlight.....

Im assuming you have an EX 6MT like I do??

Only 8 plugs are used. The 9th plug is I beleive for the navigation

Also, stay away from 2 ohm speakers and 2 ohm loads. Its near a perfect ground, and will drive that amp and speaker pretty hard. 4 ohms should be the lowest impedence speaker you should install. Get a proper size amp 65-80% of the program wattage rating of the speaker at 4 ohms per channel is ideal. Thats what im doing.

Good luck on your install. My car is taken apart just like yours at the moment. Hit me up if you have any questions be glad to help!

I got EX CVT, use to have 6 speed accord sedan....I miss stick. Anyways, I fixed the problem. I needed to add another fuse to the add-a-circuit. I completely forgot about that. This was my first amp install and everything went smooth.

I also bought infinity for the clearer sound and 2ohm. I though I did Kappa Perfect 6.1 but st still same same 2ohm set-up. I though did the regular components in the front but also did components in the back doors because I'm a big big fan of highs and set were ordered at my friends Car Audio shop and the purchaser pulled out and i got these $399.99/pr speakers for 170.00/pr. The tweeters are a huge 2in and i love the set-up. It allows back seat passengers to hear the music just as front passengers do imaging wise.

As for power, i did a cheaper LOC (LINE OUT CONVERTER). Helps to give u clear signal, attach speaker wires from the deck, run speaker wires from LOC to amp, and adjust the gains as see fit. if want further info, hit me up. but the FIT sounds awesome. In my spare time when my flight school is closed, i plan to drive over to the main Terminal and plan to do UBER runs for F/C (first class) business travelers and take them either home, meeting, or hotel. so wanted to give people a good concert sounding radio for listening to Music (XM), News (XM), or other audio.

Glad to hear! My thought on the 2 ohm comments was from my training in pro audio. 2 ohm is a last resort, and was taught never to intentionally design a system with 2 ohm loads. While systems typically are capable of 2 ohms, longevity and reliability of that audio system is better with 4 ohm or 8 ohm.

I hope to be in the same position you are by this weekend. I still got some wiring to run, but Im sure the new systems will sounds great!
