Any Galaxy S5 Owners?
Any Galaxy S5 Owners?
Hello!
I was wondering if there are any other members that own a Galaxy S5. I've recently come into an issue and I'm trying to determine if it's a common problem or just me. When I first got my Fit my phone would transmit AVRCP info when streaming music from the Google Music app through bluetooth. However, after I received the lollipop update the AVRCP data stopped showing up on the head unit, but it seems only when using the Google Music app. If play music via the stock music app or Pandora the information still shows up.
Is anyone else with an S6 experiencing this and/or have a fix? Thanks!!

Well, good to know I'm not the only one having the issue, but still... it sucks. Having AVRCP data sent over bluetooth was one of my fav features.
Someone in an android forum said that they disabled S-Health and it solved some of the bluetooth skipping issues they were having with the S5. I might just have to spend a day sitting in the Fit disabling Samsung apps one by one to see if I can find one that's causing a problem.
At first I thought it was the Play Music app, but I tested this with my wife's Moto X (she still has kit-kat) and the AVRCP data still passes. Must be something within lollipop and the S5. I suppose for a true test I need to find someone that's running lollipop and something other than an S5 and see if Play Music passes AVRCP data or not.

As if it couldn't get any worse. I have been waiting on buying a Fit for Android Auto (of course still wait) and now some basic features won't even work with my s5?! Pfffft.
On that note, it looks like the new VWs will have Android Auto in it. The Hyundai Sonata already has it (Hyundai beats Honda to the punch again), although I am not interested in a Sonata........although the VW Golf is now #1 on my list. Shame I have had Hondas since my 87 CRX Si......
Honda should do what it does best (make cars) and outsource the rest (ICE).
